What are your hours?
We are open from 6:45 am to 5:45 pm, Monday through Friday 12 months a year. We are closed for holidays and two staff development days. We follow Fargo Public Schools for all weather related closings.
What are the ages of the children you accept?
We take children age 2 through preschool. We also take Kindergarten through third grade for our summer school age Adventure Kids session.
What are the tuition fees?
Tuition varies according to the age of the child being enrolled. Please email Laura at [email protected]g for more information on rates.
Can my child attend Elim Children’s Center (ECC) part time?
Yes! We offer part time schedules to those families that can match with other part time schedules. Please check with the center director for availability. Part time availability is limited to a Tuesday/Thursday or Monday/Wednesday/Friday schedule.
Can I leave my child at ECC for the entire time the center is open?
No, your child can only attend up to 10 hours a day.
Do I have to have a set time for drop off and pick up?
Yes. In order to maintain ratios and consistency throughout the day, we ask that you adhere to a prearranged pick up and drop off time. You are more than welcome to drop your child off any time after your scheduled drop off time and pick your child up any time before his/her scheduled pick up time. We understand that things come up from time to time. If this is the case, please contact your child’s teacher. If there is no arrangement made for early drop off or late pick up, you will be charged a fee.
Does ECC offer a preschool program?
We do! Our teachers make sure each day is filled with learning, adventure, exploration, and fun! We know it’s difficult for parents to leave work to transport their child to and from a 3 hour preschool program so, we offer the exact same thing integrated throughout each day. This gives the children more time to develop those important problem solving and social skills while working and playing with other children.
What is Curriculum?
Curriculum is everything a child learns. It can be planned for or spontaneous. Curriculum is play, relationships, nature. It can be teacher or self-guided. We consider curriculum to be everything because children are sponges constantly absorbing and learning from the world around them.
Does ECC follow a curriculum?
Yes, all of the classrooms use Learn Every Day for Preschool and Learn Every Day for Infants, Toddlers, and Twos. This high quality curriculum incorporates family, the classroom environment, and play into what the children are learning. Our Preschool also uses Handwriting Without Tears.
What makes the teachers qualified to care for and teach my child?
All of our teachers have child development or education degrees, as well as many years of experience working with young children in early childhood settings. All employees have undergone a thorough interview and orientation process, including background checks and reference checks.
